Och Spine at NewYork-Presbyterian at Weill Cornell Medical Center
NYC-MISS is hosted twice a year at Weill Cornell Medicine with one Summer Intensive Workshop (August) and the flagship Winter Symposium (December). Both are organized with the Seattle Science Foundation and held in New York City. The Winter NYC-MISS Symposium, co-directed by Roger Härtl, MD and Luiz Pimenta, MD, PhD, focuses on the latest advances in MIS surgery, endoscopy, robotics, navigation, augmented reality, and emerging technologies shaping the future of spine care. The Summer NYC-MISS Master Class, directed by Roger Härtl, MD and Ibrahim Hussain, MD, delivers an intensive, small-group experience centered on practical tubular and microsurgical techniques with extensive hands-on laboratory training.

The NYC MISS Summer Master Class: Tubular Spine Intensive is a unique opportunity for spine surgeons to elevate their minimally invasive surgical skillset through an intensive, hands-on learning experience. Limited to only 15 participants, this highly interactive course offers unparalleled access to expert faculty, extensive practice, and real-time technique refinement in a collaborative small-group environment. Focused on tubular approaches, microsurgical technique, and modern MIS workflows, the program is designed to help surgeons build confidence with the tools and techniques that are rapidly shaping the future of spine surgery. Residents, fellows, and practicing surgeons are invited to join us this August 14th and 15th to develop their skills with some of the field’s most experienced surgeons.

NYC-MISS was founded in 2006 by Dr. Roger Härtl with the mission of advancing minimally invasive spine surgery through hands-on education. Now in its 20th year, it has trained hundreds of surgeons worldwide and grown from an annual symposium into a comprehensive program including winter course and summer intensive workshops.
